360 Booth Software for a Booth That Films

Your booth does not take photographs. It carries a camera around a person and records a few seconds of video. Almost everything that makes 360 booth software good or bad follows from that one fact — and none of it appears on a stills app's feature list.

Why a booth that films needs different software

A classic booth captures a frame. You see it, you keep it or you retake it, and the guest walks off with a print. The whole workflow fits in one screen because the thing being made is one image.

A 360 booth makes a clip. It has a beginning and an end, it has motion, it usually gets slowed down, and the guest cannot judge it by glancing at a thumbnail. Every one of those differences turns into a software problem, and the five below are the ones that actually cost you at an event.

If the naming confuses you — video booth, photo booth, 360 booth — that is not you being slow. It is the industry using one word for a machine that does the other thing. We wrote about why the same machine has two names, and which one to use when you advertise.

Five things that only matter because it is video

Ask any 360 booth app about these. A tool built for stills will not have good answers, because it never had to.

01

You cannot judge motion from behind the arm

With a still you look at the frame and you know. With a clip you are standing beside a spinning arm, and the first time you see what it actually captured is after the guest has gone back to the bar. If the framing was wrong, the moment is gone.

Easy 360 shows the camera feed live on a second device while the arm spins — another phone, a tablet, or a laptop, over the network, with no capture card and nothing wired. You frame the shot before you commit to it and you confirm each clip is good while the guest is still standing there. How live preview works →

02

The clip is the thing that travels, so it carries your brand

A print stays at the venue. A clip gets posted, and it is seen by people who were not at the event. That makes it the best advertising you have — but only if something on it says who made it.

Easy 360 puts a branded intro and outro on the clip itself: your logo, the couple's names, the company running the activation. It is burned into the video, so it survives every repost. Branding a 360 clip →

03

The guest wants the file, not your app

Nobody at a wedding installs an app to collect a video. Ask them to and most of them will not, and the clip you just made — the one that would have advertised you — never leaves the booth.

With Easy 360 the guest scans a QR code and the video opens in their browser. No app, no account, no email address collected at the party. They save it and they are gone in about ten seconds. Sharing without an app →

04

Slow motion is unforgiving about light and frame rate

Slowing footage down stretches every problem with it. A frame rate that looked fine at full speed turns into a stutter, and a dim room turns into noise. This is the single most common complaint operators have about 360 clips, and it is usually not the booth's fault.

It is worth understanding before you blame your hardware — the causes are specific and most of them are fixable on the night. Why 360 video comes out choppy →

05

A clip is worth watching, so let the room watch

A stack of prints on a table is not a draw. Clips playing on a screen are — people stop, they watch, and then they queue. The booth sells itself for the rest of the night.

Easy 360 puts the clips on any screen with a browser. Open the showcase on the venue's TV, type a six-digit code, and new clips appear as they are recorded. Clips on the big screen →

What it runs on

Easy 360 runs on the phone or tablet mounted on your platform. It is not tied to a booth manufacturer, so the machine you already own is the machine it works with — if there is a device mount on the arm, it runs.

Native on iPhone, iPad and Android. A Huawei build is in progress and is not on AppGallery yet. There is also a web app, so a laptop can act as the second screen without installing anything.

One subscription also covers the classic photo booth mode with templates and a video guestbook, so the same booking can sell more than one thing.

What it costs, without the asterisk

Fifteen recordings free, no card. That is enough to run a small event end to end and see the whole workflow, not a watermarked demo.

Premium is €39 a month bought directly from easy360.net. The same subscription bought inside the Apple or Google app is €54.99 a month, because the stores take a cut and we do not hide that. No contract, cancel whenever.

Frequently asked questions

Is a 360 booth the same as a 360 photo booth? +

It is the same machine. The arm carries a camera around a standing guest and records video, usually played back in slow motion, so “video booth” describes it more accurately. “Photo booth” is simply the name the industry settled on, and it is still what guests and clients search for. We say 360 booth because it covers both. The longer answer.

What does 360 booth software actually have to do? +

Five things that only matter because the output is a clip: show the motion live while the arm spins, put your brand on the clip itself, hand the guest a video file without an install, hold a steady frame rate under event lighting, and let the room watch. A stills app is not built for any of them.

Do I need a laptop or a capture card? +

No. Easy 360 runs on the phone or tablet mounted on the arm. If you want a live preview, a second phone, tablet or laptop shows what the camera sees over the network. Nothing is wired.

Does it work with my 360 booth? +

Easy 360 is not tied to a booth brand. It runs on the device mounted on the platform, so if your booth has a phone or tablet mount, it runs.

What does it cost? +

The free tier is 15 recordings, no card. Premium is €39 a month bought directly from easy360.net; through the Apple and Google stores the same subscription is €54.99 a month, because the stores take a cut. There is no contract.
